Shelburne, VT, January 28, 2008Mammut Sports Group USA, a manufacturer of Swiss quality moutnain gear and apparel, is launching Shopatron eCommerce technology to increase online sales for its retail partners. By implementing Shopatron, Mammut will allow brick-and-mortar and online retailers the opportunity to increase their Web site sales. At the same time, consumers have access to greater product selection.

Shopatron allows Mammut to assign online orders to local retailers for shipment and in-store pickup, providing faster delivery and preventing competition with retailers. After a consumer places an order on Mammut’s site, local retailers that have the items in stock choose to fulfill the order, either by handling shipment or offering in-store pickup. This allows both retailers and manufacturers to identify consumer purchasing trends. The Shopatron eCommerce interface is available to US dealers for domestic order fulfillment and shipping, and is now live at

“We’re pleased to welcome Mammut to our growing list of outdoor sporting goods providers,” said Brian Clausen, president of Shopatron. “With spring fast approaching, consumers are looking to get their outdoor products quickly and conveniently. Mammut can now guarantee its customers receive orders fast from local retailers.”
