As part of the 24-city tour, The North Face Global Athlete Team member and ultramarathon runner Dean Karnazes will share his tales of adventure and extreme endurance with residents at Rock/Creek on 10/03/09. In “Go The Extra Mile: Life on the Run,” presented by The North Face and Rock/Creek, Dean will encourage all runners to get outside and push their own personal limits as the fall running season gets going.

Dean will also make an appearance at the 9th Annual Rock/Creek StumpJump 50k, where he will compete against world-class athletes in one of the country’s toughest 50k trail races. Red Wing, MN, September 1, 2009 - In its first year as a sponsor of the Leadville Trail 100, high-performance outdoor footwear manufacturer, Vasque, has shown that more than grit and determination comes from trail runs. To support the Leadville Trail 100, Vasque has donated $2,000 to the Leadville Trail 100 Legacy, which is the charitable arm that gives funds towards the education of the Leadville youth.
