Extreme Skiing: Julian Carr is ‘Person as Projectile’
You’ve probably heard the name Julian Carr mentioned in the freeski press over the last few ski seasons. He’s been gettin’ a lot of mention for his huge cliff drops. Not unlike Jamie Pierre’s skiing, these stunts come with widespread criticism. Take a look at this self-narrated YouTube clip from Julian. Calculated or crazy? Whatever your opinion, he’s pullin’ it off and he’s probably made himself a living / career as the latest ski-lebrity in the process.

Too radical to be sponsored. But Spyder is doing so. How many copy cat jackass injuries will there be this winter?

And sponsored he is… Spyder, Rossignol, Smith, etc. etc. He has been at it for a few winters now. It is in fact calculated and he knows what he is doing… however; not the best for the sport in terms of setting the example for youngsters. I add, most anyone (except a few select big huckers) would cower at the site of looking off a 150 foot edge…even the top freeskiers in the industry.
Stay safe Julian!

Julian knows what he’s doing but its still on the edge of sanity. I hope all his landings will be steep and very deep.
