Rock Island, Tennessee, July 3, 2008 — A unique trio of accessories – the Kids Seat, the Elite Seat, and the Day Tray - make the Day Tripper line of recreational kayaks from Jackson Rec the Transformers of the rec boat category of the paddlesports marketplace.

Attention to detail, performance, storage and durability remain stamps of the Day Tripper line of rec boats. “We worked out the bugs from last season and the Day Trippers are turning heads on the showroom floor, and big time” said Eric Jackson founder and president of Jackson Kayak. Like their white water counterparts, the Day Trippers are designed with a focus on being lightweight, comfortable, versatile and confidence inspiring.

Of the three attachable accessories, the Elite Seat is getting the biggest reaction among retailers. Available only in the Elite version of the Day Tripper, the Elite Seat can be removed and serve as a great camp chair. For kayak fisherman, the Day Tray is the perfect workbench for attaching multiple rod mounts, fish finders, and GPS units and has a built-in tackle box. For family outings, attach the Kids Seat to turn the boat into a tandem.

All Jackson Rec hulls are made of top-grade linear plastic and feature a stiff composite beam that runs the length of the kayak, making it warp resistant to sun and tie-down straps.

I use a day tripper elite for fishing and what a great little yak. The seat has to be one of the most comfortable kayak seats to have ever graced my backside!
