The service was launched in the winter of 2005 with the mission of providing up-to-date pricing information on thousands of products from the most respected outdoor companies. One frustration with many comparison services is that algorithms do not classify a specific product in one succinct comparison. If a user searches for a product that has not been indexed yet, matching results are presented from the entire library of over 300,000 skus.
