June 30, 2009 - Bend, OR - Playoutdoors.com, a national online kids outdoor apparel and gear retailer announces that it has hired Carly Carmichael as Marketing Director. She will be responsible for all aspects of PlayOutdoors.com marketing and sales, brand development, events, sponsorship, outreach and communications.
Carmichael brings over ten years experience in recreational sales, marketing and branding. Her past experience includes work at Mt. Bachelor and adidas. Carly also currently teaches upper level marketing courses for the University of Phoenix’s online campus.
Cass Estes has been promoted to a newly added position of Director of Merchandising. Estes’s experience blends her passion for the outdoors and over ten years of river guiding for private companies and the Bureau of Land Management with nearly six years of graphic design, merchandising and interior design with Plenty clothing stores. Estes is responsible for all purchasing, merchandising and vendor relations.
